I am trying to receive serial data from a RFID reader (EM18 reader module). I am using MSP-430G2(REV 1.5). I tried searching the web but couldnt find any simple tutorials to do interface another device. I found lots of examples to sent data to the computer but that is not what i want. I wish to receive the serial data sent from the reader. How do i interface it with MSP430? The reader has a TTL Transmit pin. Can i connect it directly to the UART pin of MSP430? Can anyone point me to any simple resource or tutorials? Resources with connection diagrams and code will be helpful. I am using the Energia IDE and not that familiar with CCS. So code for Energia will be helpful.
