I think in my project the msp430g2553 may be missing GPIOs, RAM and flash 
That is because I am getting lickerish about new features to my wireless weather station. As for the GPIOs and flash I can take the msp430g2744 which is officially supported by msp430 LaunchPad 1.5, the RAM is not easy as no chips indicated to be supported by LP have more than 1kB of RAM.
Of course, the chip package is not compatibile, but the LaunchPad was made to flash external chips by having the 5 jumpers.
So the question is: have anyone successfully and seamlesly used any chip other than officially supported that have 2kB or more of RAM and 32kB of flash?
I've seen on http://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/msp430/f/166/p/254008/895882.aspx#895882 that someone was using MSP430F5528 with the LaunchPad 1.5 but don't know how successfully and if anyone else confirm it works.
