Suggestions for Development kit for students

Hi, 

  I am teaching an Embedded Software Undergraduate class this semester, and we are learning the MSP430 architecture.

  As part of the class, we have to do some development projects. My students have ordered the MSP430 Launchpad which uses the MSPG2553 microcontroller. I want to know what is the best way to buy peripherals for their projects. They will need different I/Os such as LED displays, switches, microphone, temp/light sensors (if possible).

 I am looking at low cost (about $25 or less) for the students. Is there an educational kit I can order ?
