Hi’
I’m hoping that someone can help me with what I think is a simple problem, or at least suggests a Yes/No answer.
I have little knowledge of electronics but want to build a wooden gear clock (don’t click away yet) and use the circuit described in this article, for both powering and controlling the timing of the clock.
http://www.instructables.com/id/A-wood-gear-clock-with-a-unique-drive-mechanism/
I’ve built a CNC machine that will cut out the gears, using an Arduino that controls stepper motors and limit switches, which works very well but the Arduino itself is required to be in there as part of the set-up.
The website regarding the clock seems to suggest using the MSP 430 to programme a micro controller and then simply remove the controller into a completely different circuit to control the pendulum timing.
Question: Am I reading the article correctly or does the MSP 430 have to remain as part of the deal?
(Just realised my question negates a Y/N answer!)
